Found one on Ebay last winter for I think $175 - it was new - did the conversion in May - almost immediately rode a 350 km day without much complaint. But I had done 600 km days on the stock seat so I am not sure of the impact of the change.
Satisfied - yes - it changed the look of the bike quite a bit - I changed the pillion as well - my seat kit came with both.
Improvement in comfort - a bit relative - it is better but it is not a jump from poor to excellent. More like a jump from poor to okay.
Would I replace it again - yes I think so - the change in the seat is a bit subtle but I like the overall effect - I added Peter the Blacksmith's luggage rack as well - made the bike look longer and bigger besides being more convenient to carry stuff.
Folks have asked this question before - usually without answer- guess that is because the change helps but not a huge amount.
Hope this helps -
Keep the hmm - oh well - keep the bum side down

p.s. I would like to hear about the new seat on the 2002 - I think it was redesigned -
p.s. 2. I would buy a gel pad for 30 bucks and use that first before forking over the full price for the gel seat
